Trail of Lovers.
There is a belief associated with this route: if at the beginning of the route you break off a small
pebble from flat slabs and carry it to the spring, laying it on the path at the end of the path, your
loved one will definitely think about you at that moment. And on this path, you can make wishes
at the “tree of love” - and it will definitely come true!
The route begins at the western gate of the APAGA-Resort Club near flat stone slabs that have
grown into the ground. The path passes through a sparse forest, past thickets of blackberries and
wild roses, meadows with wild strawberries and mint bushes. A gentle ascent continues for 450
m and leads to a clearing dotted with flowers from early spring to late autumn. The glade is
bright green, red, yellow, lilac, white and offers a wonderful view of the gorge of the river
Khachaghbyur. An ideal place for relaxation, air and sunbathing, meditation. Continuing the path
through the forest leads to the "Tree of Love" - to the crossed trunks of which you need to attach
both palms and make a wish that will definitely come true. Then the ascent becomes steeper and
after 500 m we reach the cornice of the Wanci Cap, which we pass along the Hermit's Trail, but
here we cross the Wanci Cap 80 m higher. A completely different look, different feeling. Lots of
individual rocks and junipers. Excellent viewing platform. From the cornice you can see a
petrified dragon and figures of a guy and a girl frozen in a tree. The guides will tell you their
story. This is a third of the way. Here you can make a halt either on the platform near the ledge
(if it is not very hot) or go down to the grotto, which the locals call Mamhuti Air. The last part of
the path - climbing through a sparse forest - is comfortable in any weather, up to a spring on the
border of alpine meadows about 2000 m. Here you need to put a stone brought from below into
the path. A loved one will remember you at that very moment! After the spring we go to the
alpine meadows, having risen to a height of 1780m to the PstiSar pasture. Here is a meeting with
the shepherds, a halt and a snack. We return through PuchurSar - small groves and meadows
2500m. Convenient path, no ups and downs. Return to Apaga, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast. Drive to Sanahin monastery, it’s an Armenian monastery founded in the 10th century in the Lori Province of Armenia, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue our trip & drive to Haghpat monastery, the monastery was founded by Queen Khosrovanuysh, wife of the Bagratid king Ashot III, probably in 976. Also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive to Yerevan & overnight in the hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel. Today we are waiting for a beautiful day and a sea of impressions that will remain in your heart for a long time and will warm you on dark days. A trip to the Khor Virap monastery (4-18 centuries). For the whole of Armenia, the Khor Virap Monastery is a significant historical place, because it was here in 301 that the ruler of the country converted to Christianity, making it then the state religion. We continue our tour to Noravank - a monastery of the XII century, which is located among bizarre sheer cliffs on the ledge of a winding gorge. The brightest temple in Armenia, a place of power among the yellow rocks. Next, we will go to the winery for a master class in making wine. Participants will pick grapes, and then, with the help of a master, prepare real Armenian wine.
